The National Child ID Program is a community safety initiative dedicated to helping families protect their children.
Since its launch in 1997, more than 70 million Child ID Kits have been distributed throughout North America. The program provides parents and guardians with a simple tool to collect and maintain important information about their children in a secure and convenient format.
Importantly, completed kits are kept by parents and guardians, and not stored in any government or law enforcement database. Families maintain complete control over their child’s information and can provide it to authorities only if it becomes necessary.
