Become a Volunteer

 No. Training is provided. 

LifeNet4Families accepts volunteers who are completing court-ordered, school-required, or community service hours, subject to approval.

Please note:

• All individuals must complete orientation first
• A Volunteer Application and Waiver must be submitted and approved before service begins
• Required paperwork must be provided before hours can be tracked or verified
• Hours are documented only for scheduled and completed shifts
• We are unable to backdate hours or sign forms for hours not served      at LifeNet4Families
• Certain restrictions may apply based on department availability and      court requirements

Group volunteer opportunities are available and must be approved in advance.

All groups are required to:

• Complete a Group Volunteer Application
• Email the Community Relations Manager for approval before registering or scheduling volunteer shifts
• Groups may not register through HandsOn Broward until approval has been confirmed.

Yes.

• Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer in the Community      Café
• Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and may volunteer in other departments only
• Age requirements are strictly enforced for safety and compliance

Yes.

• All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application and Waiver
• Orientation is required before submitting an application
• Closed-toe shoes and modest attire are required
• Volunteers must follow all safety, facility, and staff instructions
• Community service, school, and court hours are verified only after approved service is completed
